Shea Radiance Pure Shea Butter

Shea butter is the best completely natural moisturizer I’ve ever used. I use it everywhere- face, body, scalp, even on my hair. It helps heal dry skin, scars, and blemishes and keeps my hair calm on days I deem it too wild. The kind I love the most is by the brand Shea Radiance and it’s just called Pure Shea Butter. I love this brand the most not only because it’s an excellent unrefined shea butter, but also because they source fairly traded shea, they donate 10% of profits to the Agricultural Initiative For Women In Africa, and the packaging is completely recyclable and 100% biodegradable. Shea Radiance seems like a company that cares about producing a quality product and about people.

I buy mine at www.iherb.com. I discovered iherb at some point while I was living in Japan; they have great international shipping options. If you’d like to give this shea butter a try, use my personal coupon code ORE678 when you checkout to save $5 on your first purchase (you’ll save $10 with that code if you spend $40 on your first purchase). If you buy from iherb, you’ll have four different scents to choose from:

Shea Radiance Pure Shea Butter, Sweet Vanilla–This one is my personal favorite. It’s a nice light sweet scent that lingers. Usually I find that essential oil scents fade quite fast but this one, while being light, sticks around a lot longer. There are three ingredients: butyrospermum parkii (unrefined shea butter), vanilla and bergamot essential oils. Currently selling for $15.36

Shea Radiance Pure Shea Butter, Lavender Bliss–I’ve tried this one too and I like it a lot. I like the sweet vanilla just a little bit more because the scent lasts longer. It’s a very nice lavender scent and if you love lavender you’ll love this! It’s real lavender, not that fake gross smelling lavender you get in a lot of conventional lavender products. The packaging states it’s a blend of lavender, rosemary, and floral essential oils and the ingredient list says butyrospermum parkii (unrefined shea butter) and pure essential oils. Currently selling for $13.81

Shea Radiance Pure Shea Butter, Chocolate Truffle–I have not tried this one yet. It has the added benefit of cocoa butter along with the shea butter so it’s probably extra good for your skin. I’m just worried if I used this one I’d be constantly craving chocolate! Ingredient list: butyrospermum parkii (unrefined shea butter), theobroma cacao (unrefined cocoa butter), cocoa and vanilla essential oils. Currently selling for $15.36

Shea Radiance Pure Shea Butter, Rainforest Spice–I haven’t tried this one yet either. It’s a blend of shea butter and cedarwood and patchouli essential oils, so I imagine it smells nice and earthy. Ingredient list: butyrospermum parkii (unrefined shea butter) and pure essential oils. Currently selling for $15. 36

If you try it let me know what you think!

  1. Maybe this is what I’ll try off iherb. I plan to order something you have recommended off there at some point. I think I would love the vanilla scent as well.

      • I bought some of the shea butter and have been using it for a few months. I love how good I smell with the vanilla scent on my face or in my hair. It does an excellent job moisturizing the eczema patches on my face. This was a great recommendation.

      • I’m so glad you love it! I still can’t decide if I like the vanilla or the lavender better, they’re both so lovely. I’m trying out a new conditioner I got for Christmas, another completely natural conditioner, and I’ve been using the shea butter along with it in my hair. So far it seems like my hair loves it, but I want to give it a couple more washes before I make a final verdict and write about it.
