About

Well hello there! I’m Kristin.

That’s me! I’m a multiracial Adult Third Culture Kid (ATCK). I grew up traveling all over the world with my parents, brother, and three sisters. We never had a lot of money, but we had each other, and we had adventure. By the time I turned 18, I’d lived in 3 different countries, moved 7 times, and gone to 9 different schools. As an adult I’ve added 3 more moves and 1 more country to my list. That doesn’t even count the countries I’ve visited but haven’t lived in. Travel is in my blood and I don’t intend to ever stop.

My nomadic childhood turned me into an adult with a big imagination, an open mind, an empathetic heart, and an unquenchable curiosity about…well, everything. Somewhere along the way that curiosity lead me to wellness and alternative medicines and I’ve been fascinated ever since. I recently started using Young Living Essential Oils as part of my wellness regimen. What the oils do for me is so beneficial that I share them with everyone I know! I’m passionate about wellness and helping myself and others live a healthier life with less toxins (both physically and mentally).

How about some random facts:

  • I express myself best through creative endeavors (writing, photography, modeling, music, making things, etc.)
  • Hiking is one of my favorite things to do. That and exploring ruins. Combine the two and I’m in heaven.
  • On rainy days you’ll find me curled up with a book and a cuppa tea near an open window. Or out dancing under the trees. (That’s normal, right?)
  • Two of my greatest inspirations are Bear Grylls and Dr. Josh Axe.
  • I love nice clothes, but I’m not into shoes, makeup, or hair products.
  • I have a crush on Aidan Turner, Ben Barnes, Bob Morley, and Shaun White. (Surely I have a chance with one of them, yea? Haha)
  • I’ve always loved stories. That’s how I came up with the name The Unpoisoned Apple. Who hasn’t heard a good story or two involving a poisoned apple? And since I’m all about living life less toxic, it makes sense that the apple is now unpoisoned.

  1. I like your musings, a TCK myself, born in Moscow, lived in Russia, India, Dubai, London and now Netherlands. Yes it makes one see the world in a different light. It makes you more flexible, and at the same time makes you wonder why others are not :P. My idea of home is completely different from most of my friends who have grown up in one place and country, and sometimes the same house. I on the other hand have changed 17 house in my 40 years. looking forward to read more on your thoughts.

    • Hi there! I’m so sorry for replying so late! I’ve been off the radar for a bit but I hope to be back in the swing of things soon. I do have a Twitter account- Kristin C @UnpoisonedApple.
